Hi, I’m Ash – the artist behind the foggy swamp mist of Artist from the Black Lagoon. I create weird, wild, and wonderfully offbeat art featuring cryptids, monsters, and misunderstood creatures… all with a sharp eye toward dismantling the glossy illusions of the modern world. Fueled by coffee, chaos, and the occasional conspiracy theory, my work explores themes of burnout, absurdity, and survival in a world that wants to smooth and polish every edge and sell it back to you with a slogan. You’ll meet characters like my personal little buddy, Mark, the creature who just wants to sip his coffee in peace, and other cryptid coworkers trying to make sense of hustle culture.

This isn’t just art – it’s a protest in sticker form. It’s a battle cry for the weirdos, the over-thinkers, the burned-out creatives, and anyone who’s ever rolled their eyes at a “synergy” meeting.

The idea behind this page took on a whole new plan in August 2025 with my fine art and cryptid art drops. With your help – we’re making this lagoon come to life more than I ever thought possible.
